About Hilliard Optimist Football
The Hilliard Optimist Club offers football programs for kids ages 5-12 in four (4) divisions,
Flag,
Instructional, Division I Tackle and
Division II Tackle.
The Hilliard Optimist Club competes in the Northwest Football League.
The Season consists of eight (8) games in our Flag and Instructional Divisions and ten (10)
games in our D1 & D2 Tackle Divisions.
The Northwest Football league is an instructional league which
guarantees that each player either starts on Offense or Defense in
order to provide as equal playing time as possible. No
substitutions are allowed except in the case of injury.
2008 Sign-Ups
Sign-ups for the 2008 Football are underway. Last scheduled sign up is Saturday, June 21st 9 AM - Noon. Sign up will be held at the Hilliard Optimist Offices at 4984 Scioto Darby Road, Suite B.
Fees:
Fees for the 2008 Season are $55 for Flag and $105 for Cheerleading and
all Tackle Football Divisions. This fee includes a $15 coupon savings
card that is good through June of 2009. This card offers valuable
savings at a number of local Hilliard businesses, including: Little Darlings, Subway, Jiffy Lube, etc. Parents can choose to keep the
card or sell to recoup $15 of their participation fees.
After June 21st a $25 late fee will be charged for all applicants.
Special arrangements for payments can be made, however this must be
done prior to June 21st. After June 21st applications can be found (and payment left) at Play-It-Again Sports on Cemetery Road.
2nd Annual Football Camp
The Northwest Football League will be holding our second annual youth football camp on Saturday, June 21st from 5-9 pm at Memorial Field (next to Scioto Darby Elementary School). Cost for the camp is only $20/camper and includes water, snacks and a camp t-shirt! This year's camp offers instruction by Heidelberg College football players and will feature a special guest speaker from The Ohio State University Buckeyes. More detailed information regarding the camp can be found on our brochure and is accessible by clicking here.
