Flag Football

About Hilliard Optimist Flag Football
The Hilliard Optimist Club offers Flag Football in the Fall for youth ages 5-6. Official league age is determined by participant's age as of August 1st. Teams are co-ed and generally consist of 12 players.

The Hilliard Optimist Club competes in the Northwest Football League which is comprised of teams throughout Central Ohio. Some travel May be required throughout the Season which consists of eight (8) games, generally played on Saturday mornings.

The Northwest Football league is an instructional league which guarantees that each player either starts on Offense or Defense in order to provide as equal playing time as possible. No substitutions are allowed except in the case of injury. Furthermore, in our Flag program, it is required that each participant play at a skill position (Quarterback, Running Back, etc.) at least once during the season.
